Sheila Sherow has a doctorate in adult education, with an emphasis on distance education, from The Pennsylvania State University. Since 1988, she has been the statewide director of the Pennsylvania Literacy Corps. She also coordinates the Adult Diploma Program, and has developed and/or evaluated many different adult literacy grant-funded programs, including Even Start Family Literacy, workplace literacy, and adult education coalition-building projects. She also serves as the Lead Faculty for the Family Literacy Certificate Program.
