National Workforce Assistance Collaborative Listserv

Are you interested in discussing issues related to the changing nature of work and the workforce? Are you looking for information affecting small and mid-sized businesses in the areas of workplace literacy, employee training, work restructuring, or labor-management relations? Service and information providers - for example, community colleges, workplace literacy providers, and manufacturing extension centers and programs - working with small and mid-sized businesses have an online service:

• NWAC-L, an electronic forum for discussing issues, sharing information (i.e., instructional strategies and materials, research and its applications, staff training approaches, evaluation methods), and reviewing/critiquing materials produced by the National Workforce Assistance Collaborative (NWAC).

The Listserv is sponsored by the National Workforce Assistance Collaborative, a U. S. Department of Labor initiative established in 1993 through a cooperative agreement with the National Alliance of Business and its partners. The Collaborative is helping:

• small and mid-sized businesses adopt high performance work practices, become more competitive, and create and retain high skill, high-wage jobs for American workers.
• service and information providers meet the needs of these businesses in four key areas: workplace literacy, employee training, work restructuring, and labor-management relations.

To subscribe to NWAC-L, send an e-mail message to LISTSERV@lists.psu.edu. Leave the subject line blank. The body of the message must contain only the following: subscribe NWAC-L YourFirstName YourLastName. Turn off or delete anything your e-mail appends to a message (like your signature). Then send the message. You will receive a confirmation message via e-mail.
