Pennsylvania Literacy Corps - About Adult Learners

About Us

Adult learners served by Literacy Corps tutors are enrolled in programs of instruction designed to develop skills in reading, writing, computation, higher-order thinking and problem-solving, English language acquisition, and workforce development. These programs include Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Educational Development (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL), workplace and workforce development programs, prison literacy programs, and adult education components of family literacy programs.
