Visiting the Program

We welcome visits from prospective students who want to learn more about Lifelong Learning and Adult Education and our program. Visiting is a great way to confirm your interest in this field and enhance your understanding of what our program has to offer.

If you would like to arrange a visit, contact the program staff assistant by phone at 814-863-2596. She will put you in touch with the appropriate person to help you arrange the dates and times of your visit.

The best days for meeting faculty and students in the program are Mondays through Thursdays during Fall and Spring semesters. (Please note that there is a one-week midterm break each semester, during which many faculty and students are not on campus.) Weekend visits are not recommended, as it is generally not possible to schedule appointments with faculty in your area of interest. If you wish to visit the campus during the summer, be aware that many faculty do not hold regular office hours in the summer months.

There are a number of overnight options for staying in the campus area. The Nittany Lion Inn is located on campus, across the street from the Keller Building.

Many other accommodations are available in the State College area or in the wider Centre County region. These website links provide details for travel, eating, and sleeping arrangements, as well as dates and details of many local events of interest.

Campus and travel maps are also available through the university to download and print.
